Thurso Free Church of Scotland

Church life centres on our worship services, however, we also like to get together for lots of different kinds of social occasions.  Here you can see a picture from our annual Coffee morning in the Church hall, when we raise money for a deserving cause in the local community.  Last year we raised money for Crossroads carers and we also sent money to Bangladesh for disaster relief.

The children in our congregation and other congregations also get to enjoy an annual Sunday school party where there is always lots to eat and fun games to play. 

 Once a year we have a congregational meal and social evening, where we like to showcase our talents and also raise money for the annual Women For Mission project. This year money was raised to encourage literature projects.

 WFM 2008-2009

Women for Mission are now raising funds for the new project, "Health Matters".

To help with this aim, various items are now available for sale either at the Church or directly from Mrs Mairead Morrison, the WFM Treasurer.

 Historically women in the Free Church have managed to raise great sums of money each year for the projects and we are very grateful for all contributions to our fundraising efforts.
